I like the “acoustic” version on iTunes better than the album version. This
one had too much going on, while the acoustic version was plain and simple,
which also made the song flow better.

And since the sale of this single goes towards the British Legion, go buy
    it and check it out!

I love the song. Video is too sad for me to watch though. I guess that’s a
good thing though, it evokes emotion which is the whole point.

On 11-11-11, They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age
shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun
and in the morning We will remember them.

    Wires ( Athlete )

    You got wires, goin’ in
You got wires, comin’ out of your skin
    You got tears, makin’ tracks
I got tears, that are scared of the facts

Runnin’ down corridors through automatic doors
Got to get to you, got to see this through
I see hope is here, in a plastic box
I’ve seen Christmas lights, reflect in your eyes

    You got wires, goin’ in
You got wires, comin’ out of your skin
There’s dry blood on your wrist
Your dry blood on my fingertip

Runnin’ down corridors through automatic doors
Got to get to you, got to see this through
First night of your life, curled up on your own
Lookin’ at you now, you would never know

I see it in your eyes
I see it in your eyes
    You’ll be alright
I see it in your eyes
I see it in your eyes
    You’ll be alright, alright

Runnin’ down corridors through automatic doors
Got to get to you, got to see this through
I see hope is here, in a plastic box
I’ve seen Christmas lights, reflect in your eyes

    Down corridors through automatic doors
Got to get to you, got to see this through
First night of your life, curled up on your own
Lookin’ at you now, you would never know

I heard this song is about when the guitarist worked for Virgin Media as a
fibre optic cable installer, the lyrics specifically refer to a time when
he had to rewire a green box on the street. (Seriously.)

Baby Laila. We are all thinking of you. If anyone has a version of this
with subtitles in Spanish or Arabic, I would live to pass it on to Laila’s
    Mum and Dad.

I was only 5 when athletes first album came out, but I still remember it
like the second one. These where the songs of my childhood but not of my
generation. Now I’m 15 and everyone just listens to crap, I have yet to met
anyone of my age witch has and does listen to music like this. It’s like
sam duck worth says “whitewash is brainwash”

I agree. I know hundreds ´interesting´, hopeful stories or great people,
that I could write a novel. Maybe even about my own life. But I hate
commercialising, sure sometimes it can help a certain person to get an
attention and fees, but mostly it is out of context and I rather that ´we´
could help others in a Reality with a work because we lived through it and
have knowledge and experiences; not just posting simple words to different
    themes…

I’m trying to say it’s a bit personal to post onto a music video and the
lyrics don’t mention being premature, having vision issues or having brain
damage. It just generally refers to complications.
