I understand that the spectrum is a finite resource and that there are alot
of techniques to maximise the use of it but will there come a time when we
run out of space to modulate signals?

This is a good general knowledge video, but they neglected to address one
very significant coverage issue: the ability of the mobile or portable
radio to talk back to the base station. Coverage patterns of the mobile or
portable radios are always much smaller than a base station using a tower
mounted antenna which results in one way communication (base station to
mobile/portable) when the signal from the portable/mobile cannot reach the
    tower antenna.

This is a good (and extremely important point). This video was shot in 1991
so we’d have a hard time reshooting that part. The assumption is that
System Engineeers know that sort of stuff.

..but then again you’d be surprised how many Engineers dont know this
    simple fact!

Ah, okay now I get it, sorry I was a little slow there. I think if Sherlock
Holmes was a real person, and was around today, he would be one of the
“technogeeks” we see. Anyway, thanks for the comment and I hope you enjoyed
the video 🙂 I have a few more VHS cassettes which I will convert in the
    next few days.
