The processor isn’t everything, the graphics card is a huge part of it, and honestly, memory means nothing in graphics these days. You need to base the cards worthiness off its pixel pipelines, core speed (graphics cards have their own onboard processors), etc.

Even processors aren’t just Ghz. If theres more than one core, you have to multuplythe Ghz by the number of cores to find the true speed. Also, the bus speed and cache size are huge factors too.

Generally high end gaming computers use SSD hard drives(solid state with no moving parts, it can access data faster than the older common SATA and IDE drives, faster memory that can be overclocked, better motherboard more features and higher overclocking, faster processor, and mainly a higher end graphics card.. Most $ 400 and under computers use Onboard graphics that share the computer memory and are not meant for demanding games requiring lot’s of graphic processor power. Gaming computers will have a min $ 200 graphics card!

Depending on the brand, price or build of the gaming computer there can be several differences. The main one being that computers designed for gaming will all have dedicated video graphic cards, which will make games run more smoothly, and increase the appearance and decrease the choppy graphics. Also the ram on most gaming computers will be higher so that it will have more memory for gaming programs to use so that it wont slow down your computer. The core processors on most gaming computers will also be greater, in turn speeding up the games, and connection.

A Good Gaming Computer should meet or exceed these requirements:
    Ram- Minimum of 4GB
HDD/ SSD (Disk Drive)- 250-512 GB
    Processor- Quad or above
    Graphics Card – 512 MHz +

graphics/video card. “regular” computers dont come with a hyped up graphics card because they are expensive to have a good one. upwards of $ 200 for a good video card. a gaming computer usually consists of a quad core processor or higher, and a really good video card.
