What do women find so threatening about male reproductive choice?

Question by Penske: What do women find so threatening about male reproductive choice?
Women seem to have an almost universal disgust for the very concept. But all it is doing is granting men the same rights women have. Women don’t lose any rights at all. Really it just reveals how privileged and bigoted women are, to deprive men of the rights women take for granted just because men were not born with the “proper” genitalia.

And just what choice would that be? To forcibly impregnate a woman? Or to force her to have an abortion? Or to force her not to?

Because a vast majority would like to have exclusive control of this area called “reproductive rights”.

I’m reminded of something a Feminist once said reg. a discussion on male reproductive rights [was it Greer?] – “We did not fight so much to get women reproductive rights only to give it back to men.”

I have no problems at all with male reproductive choice. I think that every man is well aware of his reproductive choices and I am all for responsible parenting.
I have a problem though with men who won’t be responsible for their “mistakes”.

Because that would make them into things: walking incubators to be used pretty much as and when a man pleases.

What do you describe as “male reproductive choice?” If you mean the ability to protect yourself against getting your partner pregnant, you already have that choice, and that right and obligation. If you mean forcing a woman to carry your baby to term, you’re daft. No one has the “right” to force someone else to do something with their body against their will. Or if you mean the “right” to have as much unprotected sex as you want and then abandon any of the consequences….women do not have that right, never have, never will. It’s only fair that men have the same consequences as women.
