I happened to attend a fascinating webinar today about social media marketing. It was illuminating. And a bit complex – but here goes.
Facebook has Edgerank. It’s a complicated formula about how they gauge the “worthiness” of a given post, and ultimately how many people see the post in their feeds. Basically, it’s a mish-mash of popularity + relevance + timeliness. If you are developing any kind of social media presence, it’s something you need to know about.
Youtube has a similar algorithm based on title, description, views and links. Google Plus – well, that’s another proprietary Google thing, but we can assume it’s not too different from Edgerank (or Google’s Pagerank). And, Twitter is what Twitter does – tweet, and tweet some more.
So, how does one take advantage of social media algorithms to improve social presence? How do you get all the likes, tweets, and views that improve your social presence?
Well, unless you already have a large following on one of the social networks, or unless you have a huge number of “real” friends you can talk into visiting your site and liking or viewing everything they see, you’re kinda stuck. You could advertise, but that can cost money (sometimes more than you have). Or, you can turn to Fiverr and wade through the myriads of gorilla head photo gigs and birthday card song/video gigs until you find a someone who really understands what you want…
Or, you can turn to the only site that is actually set up to do what you need – SocialClerks.com.
At Social Clerks you can Buy Tweets, Likes, Shares, Views… just about any kind of interaction you need to provide that needed social boost and get the traffic you desire. They also have offers for a multitude of SEO services – all performed by professionals for professionals.
Check them out. You’ll be glad you did.
